The birds and some of the flowers are from a 'songbird' Prima Marketing vine that I ripped apart. :-) Doesn't sound pleasant but sometimes you have to improvise! I curled one of the corners by using several coordinating scraps. I would just cut the corners and adhere them one behind the other--and finally just curl them. This gives the effect of having several pieces of paper together when in fact it's just the corner with several pieces of paper. By the way, just about everything seen on this page came with the kit. I believe just a few of the scraps I used in the corner and the thread I used for the sewing were not part of the kit. I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page for the edges of the page.
The edges were inked with a bit of Marmalade distress ink by Tim Holtz to make them stand out a bit more. I hand stitched all around the border with some thread from my stash. The letters used in the title were plain white corrugated cardboard. They were inked & spritzed in shades of yellow, orange & brown. I then tied a bit of the thread I used for my stitching around a few of the letters in the title.
Several of the papers in the kit came with designs that lent themselves for fussy cutting. The green cluster of leaves seen here were cut from one of the papers in the kit. I then added clear stickles on several of my cut pieces in order to further decorate them. Thanks to all of you who stop by for a visit! Enjoy the rest of the week...
