This layout is one that has been done for some time now. It was created with one of Authentique's most recent collections 'Durable'. The earth tone colors of this collection along with the masculine elements make it an ideal choice for documenting photos of the boys in my life.
Late last year I was able to take several photos of my husband & son enjoying a crisp Autumn day by a lake. Using 'Durable' to document this memory worked out perfectly since even the clothing they wore that day brought out some of the accent colors of the collection.
My page was based on a wonderful sketch created by The Nifty Pixel.
The embellishments used on the page were mostly burlap & felt based. I've adhered most of the floral embellishments with pop dots to add some dimension to my page.
With the use of a couple different stamps, I further decorated the background by randomly stamping these images. With black mist, I've added a bit of splatters to the background as well.
With a hot glue gun, I adhered a string of white twine along my page. I adhered it based on how the layout 'flows' visually. At least that was my intent. :-)
The bright orange organza star flower seen here is an embellishment from my own stash. I have these & several more organza star flowers available for sale in my Etsy shop.
